Alex's Senior Pics

My cousin, Alex, is graduating from high school this coming spring. It's really hard to believe, I'm sure harder to believe for his parents. I had the pleasure of photographing Alex's senior pictures and the weather could not have better cooperated. We spent some time at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial - what a fantastic location for portraits. Luckily (but not surprisingly) they came armed (with clothes) and ready! Funny side story - right before they arrived I was scarfing down some shrimp and pasta. Thinking nothing of it, I greeted both my aunt and cuz with a hug. SO dumb on my part - I some how transferred leftover pasta from myself (I always manage to get food on me) to them. Alex and my aunt both had pasta sauce on their clothes. Way to go Kate. Irregardless, it was a great afternoon...

Baby Scarlett, 6 months

My beautiful niece is growing like most babes do her age - like a weed! Her mommy/my sis-in-law wanted to have Scarlett's growth documented with an uber cute photo session. We got to play dress up with Scarlett in their brand new house, how could that NOT be a riot? She was such a good sport, even when squeezed into a tutu, head bands, multiple outifts, indoors-outdoors, the works. What a chill baby! I just love her.

Mariah and Stephen

Last weekend I jumped back into the photography ring after a lovely maternity intermission. Mariah and Stephen got married on a lovely, spring day in beautiful Oxford, MI. Angel Scarlett

A week ago our family welcomed its first grand baby, first niece, first sibling offspring, first daughter. Dear, sweet Scarlett is the gorgeous daughter of my brother, Bud, and his lovely bride and my sister, Abby. Photographing family is a privilege and even though I am humongous pregnant, ready to pop in about a week and a half, I found the energy and motivation to hang with my girl - which was not difficult. Enjoy these teasers as I am sure this is just the beginning of my Scarlett documentation.
